At the beginning of class the students completed a bellringer. Then they worked with a partner to complete a peer editing checklist and review their rough drafts from last week. Lastly the students began writing the final drafts of their Macbeth essays.

At the beginning of class today I collected the Macbeth essays. Then the students took notes on our next unit which is 17th and 18th century notes. Lastly I distributed the viewing guide for Dead Poet's Society and we began watching the film.

Today we were on a late start schedule, so classes were shorter. At the beginning of class the students completed a bellringer. Then they took notes on carpe diem poetry. Next they took notes on Robert Herrick and read "To the Virgins, To Make Much of Time". Lastly we continued watching Dead Poet's Society with viewing questions.
