At the beginning of class the students took the AP Literature Terms Quiz 5B.  Then we reviewed the poetry terms (tone, agency, and roads not taken).  We read the poem "Homecoming" (pg. 602) and applied the terms.  Lastly I gave the students a quick took to help them analyze poetry on the AP exam.  I gave a TPCASTT chart and asked them to choose any poem from the textbook and analyze it using TPCASTT.
HW:  1.  TPCASTT due tomorrow
2.  Read CAP part 2 by Friday
​3.  CAP part 2 quotes journal due Friday

Wednesday, January 20th, 2016

Today the class took notes on analyzing poetry.  Then we read the poem "Spring" and completed a TPCASTT together.

At the beginning of class the students turned in the CAP part 2 quotes journal.  Then they worked on reading CAP part 3 and the CAP part 3 quotes journal.

2.  Read CAP part 3 by 1/29
