At the beginning of class I assigned the DOAS/Oedipus essay.  This out of class essay is due on 10/20.  Then I also gave out a sample student resume for the students to use as they begin applying to college.  Next group 2 completed their fishbowl discussion on "WAYG,WHYB?" while group 1 evaluated their performance.  Lastly the students read and annotated a practice prose timed write question.  We will use this for our class discussions over the next few days.

Today our class met in Mrs. Bone's classroom.  At the beginning of class the students were given 15 minutes to vote for the "Who's Who" yearbook page.  Then the students were divided into groups of 4.  I went over the AP scoring guide for the sample timed writing question they looked at yesterday.  Then I gave each group 4 sample student papers.  They were asked to read each sample and score it based on the scoring guide.  We then came back as a whole group and the students shared what they gave each paper and why using evidence from the scoring guide.
HW:  1.  Work on DOAS/Oedipus essay due 10/20
2.  Read TA ch. 1-20 with study questions by 10/26
