NO SCHOOL - LABOR DAY
Tuesday, September 8th, 2015
At the beginning of class the students turned in their bellringers. Then I checked the Anglo-Saxon test study guides for completion from those students who wanted bonus points. Afterwards I went over the answers to the test study guide. Once the day is over the answers will be posted below for anyone who is absent to use to study with. Lastly the students worked in partners to create multiple choice questions based on their individual class's Anglo-Saxon daily life presentations. The notes for each class are posted under the documents tab (this is especially important if you transferred classes! You are responsible for the notes taken in the class you are CURRENTLY in). These multiple choice questions were turned in by the end of the period.

I was not here today, so the students had a substitute. I expect nothing but exemplary behavior from the students. Today we had a slightly shorter schedule due to the pep rally. The students created vocabulary "flash cards" using half sheets of construction paper. They selected one word from their new The Canterbury Tales vocabulary list 1 and wrote the term on the front of the flashcard. Then they wrote the definition on the back. Next they cut out 4 pictures from magazines that represented the word they chose and glued those on the front side around the term. On the back of the flash card they then explained why each picture represented the term. The flashcards are due on Monday.
